Anxiety symptoms can range from crippling panic attacks to nagging fears and worries that never leave. Living with anxiety causes stress and depression and affects a person’s quality of life. Anxiety can affect school and work, personal relationships, and a person’s physical and mental health. However, anxiety is also a natural part of human life. Anxiety is a biological marker designed to keep us safe and to question things that don’t feel right. Unfortunately, many people live with a level of anxiety that surpasses the realm of natural fears. These individuals experience anxiety on a level that encompasses their other emotions and the ability to process fears logically.

Nearly 30% of Americans live with an anxiety disorder. For those who suffer anxiety at higher levels, it is a diagnosable condition that deserves patience from others and caring and supportive treatment from a professional. At Firefly Counseling, our counselors understand the detrimental effects an anxiety disorder can have on an individual’s life. They will create a personalized treatment plan to address your specific fears and triggers.

Firefly Counseling understands that anxiety affects people of all ages, races, genders, and socioeconomic statuses, and we treat children, teens, and adults. We also understand that anxiety looks different from person to person and the symptoms in a child may be different from those in an adult.

FCW counselors are highly trained at diagnosing and treating anxiety and will help you or your child master their emotions and get your life back on track. Whether school, work, a relationship, phobias, or social situations cause anxiety or trauma, our trained counselors will help you process your emotions in a safe, supportive environment. We will also work together to teach you tools, tips, and tricks to reduce anxiety, stop or prevent panic attacks, and reduce stress in general. Those who suffer from an anxiety disorder may also deal with depression, brain fog, self-esteem issues, attention problems, and other related mental conditions. With the understanding that there may be additional or underlying events, conditions, and emotions causing a person’s anxiety, at Firefly Counseling, we aim to treat each individual based on their specific needs, goals, and experiences. Therapy and treatment plans at our clinic are never generic and are always tailored to the client’s individual needs, and we will grow and work with you as your needs and goals change. No matter what is causing your sleepless nights and ongoing anxiety, we are here to help you take your life back!
